So... to make up for the fact that I /do/ have to work, I've started trying to shoot /something/ every weekend. Last week, I went outside and picked up various fallen foliage around the courtyard where I live and shot it. That's where 'Another World' came from:

I also have a few more from that day that I haven't decided whether or not I like. Before that, there was an impromptu session where I got some crazy abstracts like this one:

The exercise was great and it's taught me a lot about my camera, light, and how they all function together... and I'm doing this all on my desk with a regular old tungsten desk lamp as my only source of light, so I'm also learning how to use what I have. This week, I pulled out my watercolors (seriously, I'm an awful painter, even though I love the idea of painting) and pulled out an art series:
Next week I'm going to be very busy with work, but hopefully I can find a couple of hours worth of time to come up with some other concept.
